Mike Coombs Guitar and Banjo TuitionThe inner nature of mankind is the province of music.
Arrangements and Original Instrumentals I have created some simple arrangements for these tunes. Please click on the links below to download them (PDF format).
This tune was written for the wedding of another of my old students, Ria Taylor, who is getting married in June. It's similar in it's main theme to Mrs Mackerel's Wedding as Ria really liked that tune
Music and Compositions
Click here to access more of my music and Compositions The songs and tunes here, with the exception of "Mrs Mackerel's Wedding" are a few years old, recorded when I ran The Cream Room recording studio. The engineer was ROB CLYDESDALE who also co produced and played bass guitar and drums on all of the tracks (with the exception of "The Dark Island" )and lead guitar and jaws harp on "Egg Mayo Farewell". He was also responsible for "Salt Crack" which was a bluegrass tune called Salt Creek that I played on banjo, to which he added fiddle and flute from a track called "Drowsy Maggie" from Tanglen's "Songs of Dusk and Desert" album. Tanglen was myself on guitar and harmonica, Annie Parker on flutes and Chris Melchior (Evolution From the Void - see my friends list) on violin . The vocals on "Old Flame" were by Chris Harris, and the words and music were written by myself and Bob Roberts in the early 80's. the other instrumentals were composed by me.
